Another angry woman

Is this an epidemic?

“Janet Briggs of Halesowen U3A rages against the cult of looking young”. In the Spring issue of U3A News, not noted for its feminism, a page article extols the attractiveness of old age. “Are we already  a society in which being elderly (or at least looking it) is frowned upon  … The media is overly concerned with youth and physical perfection. This strikes me as ironic since those of us in the third age are exerting a growing amount of influence in terms of numbers and consumer voice.”
